- Acquire an ultra-vigilant reading method
- Reinforce the knowledge of the constituent elements of storytelling (dramaturgy) and narrative tension (narratology)
- Improve identification of the film's proposition (subject, thematic fields, genre, film typology, target audience; market positioning)
- Diagnose the strengths and weaknesses of the treatment (in relation to the proposal as it stands)
- Identify the causes of the symptoms to guide script improvement work
- Evaluate the film's promise (with projected areas for improvement)
- Assimilate elements of language to communicate analysis (reading sheet; committee debate; dialogue with authors)
